GTT nets Jiangnan order for three LNG carriers

France’s GTT said it would design the tanks of three LNG carriers recently ordered at Chinese shipbuilder Jiangnan.

As part of this order received in the second quarter, GTT will provide the design and associated engineering services for the vessel’s tanks, which will each offer a capacity of 175,000 cbm.

The tanks will feature GTT’s Mark III Flex membrane containment system.

GTT said that Jiangnan would deliver the LNG carriers in the third quarter of 2025 and the second quarter of 2026, but it did not reveal any additional information.

LNG Prime first reported on this order on May 23, citing shipbuilding sources, while Adnoc Logistics & Services, a unit of Adnoc, and Jiangnan confirmed the deal in separate statements released last month.

Jiangnan said the 175,000-cbm “LNG Jumbo” dual-fuel carriers would feature GTT’s Mark III Flex membrane system and a partial reliquefaction system.

This contract follows an order for two LNG carriers Jiangnan will build for Adnoc and which will feature GTT’s Mark III Flex membrane containment system.
