HD Hyundai Heavy announced in a stock exchange on Friday that it had secured an order for six container vessels from an unidentified Asian company.
The order is worth approximately 1.78 trillion won. This equals approximately $1.22 billion or $203 million per vessel.
HD Hyundai Heavy said the deliveries are scheduled by September 2029, but it did not provide further details.
Several brokers said that ONE is behind this order and that the vessels would be LNG dual-fuel.
The vessels are expected to have a capacity of 15,900 teu.
In June 2025, HD Hyundai Heavy secured an order to build eight LNG dual-fuel container vessels tied to ONE.
These 15,900 teu vessels are each worth approximately $221 million.
HD Hyundai Heavy will deliver these container vessels by November 2028.

A total of 83 orders for alternative-fueled vessels have been ordered in the first four months of 2026, including 52 orders for LNG dual-fuel vessels, DNV said.
