Total delivers its first LNG cargo to China’s Foran Energy

A unit of France’s Total said it has delivered its first LNG cargo to Chinese independent gas firm Foran Energy.

The firm supplied 136,000 cbm of LNG on April 6 to the Zhuhai terminal, Total’s gas unit said on Tuesday.

It did not provide any additional information.

Foran is a local gas distributor in Foshan City, Guangdong. The firm commercializes more than 2 bcm of natural gas annually, according to Total.

To remind, the Chinese firm signed last year LNG supply deals with UK-based energy giant BP but also with US exporter Cheniere for deliveries to the Guangdong province.

Foran has shares in China’s first LNG import terminal, Guangdong Dapeng.
