Australian LNG exports dropped in September when compared to the month before, as projects delivered 11 fewer cargoes to China, Japan and Taiwan, according to EnergyQuest.
In September, Australian projects shipped in total 6.96 million tonnes or 101 cargoes, lower than the near record 7.18 million tonnes or 105 cargoes in August, the consultancy said in its monthly report.
Besides delivering 11 fewer cargoes to China, Japan and Taiwan, Australian projects delivered seven additional cargoes to India, Korea, Malaysia and Singapore when compared to August, it said.
Shipments from the west coast decreased to 4.9 million tonnes in September, with 70 cargoes in September compared to 76 in August.
East coast shipments increased to 2.1 million tonnes in September with 31 cargoes, compared to 29 in August, the consultancy said.
EnergyQuest also reported one spot cargo from the east coast in September and five spot cargoes from the west coast, or 6 percent of total shipments.
