Woodside appoints new head in Australia

LNG player Woodside has appointed Liz Westcott to lead the company’s operations in Australia.

According to a statement by Woodside issued on Thursday, Westcott will take over the role as Woodside’s executive VP for Australian operations on June 1, 2023.

She will succeed Mike Price who has been in charge of the company’s Australian operations over the past five months.

Westcott most recently held the role of COO at EnergyAustralia.

Prior to joining EnergyAustralia in 2018, she had a 25-year career at ExxonMobil working in Australia, the United Kingdom and Italy, including a secondment in 2013 to Adriatic LNG as managing director, the statement said.

Woodside CEO Meg O’Neill said in the statement Westcott would be a valuable addition to Woodside’s executive leadership team.

“I am delighted that Liz has agreed to join Woodside to lead our Australian operations. Her extensive upstream experience is complemented by knowledge of the power generation and retail sectors,” O’Neill said.
