Burckhardt Compression grabs BW LNG carrier deal

Switzerland-based Burckhardt Compression signed a ten-year service agreement covering nine BW LNG carriers with its compressors on board.

Building on their existing long-term relationship, the two companies agreed to a “tailormade fleet management solution” which provides a total care package supported by the latest monitoring diagnostics, according to a Burckhardt statement.

The scope of the LTSA covers scheduled maintenance of the compressors and supervision.

Furthermore, the deal includes preventive maintenance via remote diagnostics, field services, and fleet management over a period of ten years.

All nine LNG carriers feature ME-GI propulsion and Laby-GI compressors for BOG management.
