Gasum, Equinor in new LNG bunkering pact

Finland-based Gasum has expanded its cooperation with Norway’s Equinor with the signing of a new LNG bunkering deal for the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp region.

The new deal also marks an expansion for Gasum extending its geographical area from the Nordics to the ARA region.

Gasum and Equinor previously worked on various projects and LNG supply chain development for Equinor’s vessels since 2011.

Lately, Gasum has been bunkering Equinor’s oil tankers that are shipping crude oil from North Sea to Swedish and Baltic ports.

To remind, Equinor has earlier this year commissioned the first two new LNG-powered shuttle tankers it chartered for operations in the North Sea.

In the ARA region, Gasum will use LNG bunkering vessels Coralius and Kairos to supply Equinor’s ships.
