GTT secures LNG tank job from Hyundai Samho

French LNG containment giant GTT has won a new contract from South Korean shipbuilder Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries.

Under the new order, GTT will design the tanks for one 174,000-cbm LNG tanker.

Moreover, the newbuild would feature GTT’s Mark III Flex membrane containment system, according to the French firm.

GTT said Hyundai Samho would deliver the vessel to a European owner in the fourth quarter of 2023. The firm did not reveal any additional information.

Hyundai Samho’s parent firm Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering revealed this order in a stock exchange filing last week.

The deal has a price tag of about 215.5 billion won ($190 million).

KSOE also did not disclose any additional information.
