TotalEnergies agrees to exit US offshore wind and invest in LNG

French energy giant TotalEnergies has signed settlement agreements with the United States Department of the Interior (DOI). TotalEnergies will no longer develop offshore wind projects in the US and will reinvest the refunded lease fees to finance the construction of NextDecade’s Rio Grande LNG plant in Texas and the development of its oil and gas activities.
