Wartsila bags contract for two Korean LNG bunkering vessels

Finland’s Wartsila has secured a contract to deliver its complete LNG cargo handling and fuel system for two new South Korean bunkering vessels.

The vessel’s builder Hyundai Mipo Dockyard awarded the contract to Wartsila in May.

Hyundai Mipo will build the 18,000-cbm ships for South Korean owners Pan Ocean as well as Korea Line LNG.

The complete Wartsila solution selected for these orders includes the system engineering and design, the boil-off gas (BOG) management control with an integrated fuel supply system, and the custody transfer system, the Finnish firm said.

Moreover, Wartsila plans to deliver the equipment to the yard during the first half of 2022.
