Awilco expects ‘challenging’ LNG shipping market next year

Norway’s Awilco LNG, the owner of two TFDE LNG carriers, said on Wednesday that the recent strengthening in the LNG shipping market is positive, but the market looks “challenging” for next year as increasing LNG production and the phase-out of older steam vessels are unlikely to cover the number of newbuildings delivered.
