Fluxys LNG, a unit of Fuxys, is offering five additional slots on February 14, February 24, March 9, March 28, and March 3, according to a statement by Fluxys.
For these cargoes, Fluxys LNG commercializes the firm rights to unload, store, and regasify up to 165 000 m³ LNG over 10 days.
On January 15 at 10h CET, the slots of February 14 and 24 will be offered one by one in two consecutive auctions, while on the same day at 14h CET, the three March slots will be offered one by one in three consecutive auctions.
Also, the starting price is the regulated tariff of 646,869,65 euros for the slots, Fluxys said, adding that the major price step is 250,000 euros and the minor price step is 50,000 euros.
Fluxys also noted that, following the auctions held on December 12, 2024, regasification slots for January 12, and January 24, 2025, still remain available.
These can be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, the company said.
Capacity boost
In August 2024, Fluxys received the 3000th cargo of LNG at its import facility in the port of Zeebrugge.
In operation since 1987, the Zeebrugge LNG terminal mostly receives shipments from Qatar, USA, and Russia.
Due to the high demand for LNG, Fluxys is expanding the facility, and it has already increased the terminal’s capacity by adding three new open-rack vaporizers.
The capacity has been increased since January 1, 2024 to 11.3 mtpa (15 bcma).
“The additional sendout capacity (1.3 mtpa / 2 bcma) is scheduled to be available on January 1, 2026,” Fluxys said previously.
Last year, US energy giant ConocoPhillips signed a deal with Fluxys to book long-term capacity at the Zeebrugge LNG terminal.
The capacity booking at the terminal will allow ConocoPhillips to import and regasify 0.75 mtpa of LNG for delivery in Belgium and also throughout Europe starting in April 2027.
This deal came after Fluxys offered long-term capacity for 2027-2044 in June 2024.
