HAM completes Novatek’s LNG filling station in Poland

Spain’s HAM Group said it has completed a liquefied natural gas filling station for a unit of LNG producer Novatek in Poland.

HAM Criogénica, a unit of HAM, designed, built and commissioned the LNG filling station in Zgorzelec, Poland, according to a HAM statement on Thursday.

The station owned by Novatek Green Energy has a vertical tank of 80 cbm and two LNG dispensers, allowing refueling of trucks and heavy vehicles.

In addition, the design allows an “easy” expansion of the station with two more LNG dispensers, HAM said.

Novatek is building a network of LNG filling stations in Russia, as well as Germany and Poland.

The firm plans to build 30 LNG filling stations in Europe as an increasing number of firms opt for the fuel to reduce costs and emissions.

It also said earlier this year it would create a unit to focus on developing the small-scale market in Russia.

Novatek – LNG Fuel would construct small-scale plants, facilitate LNG wholesale markets but also develop a retail network for LNG as a fuel for vehicles in Russia, the firm said.
