Chinese shipbuilder Jiangnan has delivered the 15,000-teu LNG-powered containership, CMA CGM Grace Bay, to French shipping giant CMA CGM.
The shipbuilder announced the delivery of the 336 meters long and 51 meters wide vessel in a statement issued on May 22.
This is the third of six 15,000-teu LNG-powered containerships Jiangnan built for French shipping giant CMA CGM.
Last month, Jiangnan delivered the second vessel in this batch, CMA CGM Cape Cod.
It plans to delivery the remaining ships by September this year.
Jiangnan and Hudong-Zhonghua are each constucting six LNG-powered ships for CMA CGM as part of a deal revealed in April 2021, but the six vessels at Hudong-Zhonghua have a capacity of 13,000 units.
Also, the new LNG-powered vessels feature GTT’s Mark III containment system and WinGD’s dual-fuel propulsion.
The vessel’s LNG tanks have a capacity of 14,000 cbm.
