Peru LNG sent six cargoes in April

Peru LNG’s 4.45 mtpa liquefaction plant at Pampa Melchorita has shipped six cargoes in April, one shipment more when compared to the month before, according to state-owned Perupetro.

Perupetro’s data shows that three shipments were sent to the UK and one each to South Korea, Canada, and Spain.

The shipments loaded onboard the LNG carriers Maran Gas Delphi, Megara, Huelva Knutsen, SM Bluebird, Seapeak Madrid, and Maran Gas Amphipolis equal about 399,893 tonnes.

This compares to five cargoes and about 363,356 tonnes in March this year, while Peru LNG also sent six cargoes in April 2022.

In total, the LNG plant sent 718 LNG cargoes since 2010, the data shows.

US-based Hunt Oil holds a 50 percent operating stake in the Pampa Melchorita LNG plant, while SK and Marubeni have 20 percent and 10 percent, respectively.

LNG giant Shell also holds a 20 percent stake and takes all the volumes produced at the facility.
