EPS takes delivery of its first LNG-powered PCTC

Singapore’s Eastern Pacific Shipping has taken delivery of its first LNG-powered pure car and truck carrier in China.

The Idan Ofer-led shipping firm announced the delivery of Lake Herman in a social media post on Friday.

China Merchants Jinling Shipyard in Nanjing built the LNG dual-fuel PCTC with a capacity of 7,000 ceu.

Besides LNG dual-fuel capabilities, the vessel features a shaft generator and shore and battery power, EPS said.

CSSC’s Shanghai Merchant Ship Design and Research Institute (SDARI) designed the LNG-powered PCTC classed by DNV.
