Titan, K Line complete first LNG bunkering op under new term contract

Dutch LNG supplier Titan and Japan’s shipping giant K Line have completed the first LNG bunkering operation for K Line’s car carrier under a new contract.

On April 5, Titan’s chartered bunkering vessel, Alice Cosulich, delivered LNG to K Line’s PCTC, Pontus Highway, according to Titan.

Titan said in a social media post that the bunkering operation took place at the ICO terminal in Belgium’s Zeebrugge.

The Dutch firm did not provide further information regarding the operation or the long-term contract.

Titan said K Line is actively investing in dual-fuel LNG vessels as an intermediate step towards decarbonization.

In addition, K Line’s fleet of LNG carriers continues to expand.
