Peru LNG’s 4.45 mtpa liquefaction plant at Pampa Melchorita has shipped five cargoes in March to Asia, according to state-owned Perupetro.
During March the LNG plant has exported three cargoes to South Korea and one cargo each to Japan and China, Perupetro’s data shows.
Unlike previous months, the facility did not send any cargoes to Europe last month.
The five March cargoes totaled about 344,633 tonnes and compare to five cargoes in March 2021, or 345,028 tonnes, the data shows.
LNG exports from the plant were almost flat when compared to 332,687 tonnes and five cargoes in the prior month.
In total, the facility sent 662 LNG cargoes since 2010, Perupetro’s data shows.
US-based Hunt Oil holds a 50 percent operating stake in the LNG plant, while SK and Marubeni have 20 percent and 10 percent, respectively.
LNG giant Shell also holds a 20 percent stake and takes all the volumes produced at the facility.
