US weekly LNG exports dip

The United States exported fever LNG cargoes in the week ending April 22 when compared to the week before, according to the EIA.

The agency said in its weekly gas natural gas report that five US terminals sent 13 LNG cargoes between April 16 and April 22.

The total capacity of the LNG vessels carrying these cargoes is 48 billion cubic feet.

This compares to 17 LNG ships with a combined LNG-carrying capacity of 61 billion cubic feet the week before.

Out of the 13 LNG shipments, Cheniere’s Sabine Pass plant in Louisiana shipped seven cargoes while additional two cargoes left the company’s Corpus Christi terminal in Texas.

Dominion’s Cove Point liquefaction plant in Maryland also exported two shipments during the week under review.

The Sempra-led Cameron LNG facility and the Freeport LNG terminal shipped one cargo, each.

The amount of gas flowing to US LNG export plants eased to 8.2 billion cubic feet during the week under review from the 8.5 bcfd recorded the week before.

The Henry Hub spot price rose from $1.64 per million British thermal units last Wednesday to $1.87/MMBtu recorded this Wednesday, EIA data shows.
