EIA said in its weekly report, citing shipping data provided by Bloomberg Finance, that the total capacity of these 32 LNG vessels is 122 Bcf.
This compares to 30 LNG vessels and 112 Bcf in the week ending October 8.
EIA noted for the third week that it “will be able to operate for a period of time during the lapse in appropriations.”
The agency said that certain sections of the natural gas weekly update are currently unavailable.
The affected sections include the LNG pipeline receipts section.
During the week under review, Cheniere’s Sabine Pass plant shipped eight LNG cargoes, and the company’s Corpus Christi facility sent five shipments, according to the report.
Moreover, Venture Global LNG’s Plaquemines terminal sent six shipments, and the Freeport LNG terminal shipped five cargoes.
Sempra Infrastructure’s Cameron LNG terminal sent four shipments, and Venture Global’s Calcasieu Pass facility shipped three cargoes during the week under review.
The Elba Island LNG facility also sent one shipment, while there were no exports from the Cove Point plant.
Berkshire Hathaway’s unit BHE GT&S completed annual maintenance at the Cove Point LNG export facility in Maryland on October 12.
Henry Hub drops
EIA reported that the Henry Hub spot price fell 53 cents from $3.33 per million British thermal units (MMBtu) last Wednesday to $2.80/MMBtu this Wednesday.
The price of the November 2025 NYMEX contract decreased 32 cents, from $3.333/MMBtu last Wednesday to $3.016/MMBtu this Wednesday.
EIA said the price of the 12-month strip averaging November 2025 through October 2026 futures contracts declined 22 cents to $3.681/MMBtu.
TTF averaged $10.86/MMBtu
The agency said that international natural gas futures decreased this report week.
Bloomberg Finance reported that average front-month futures prices for LNG cargoes in East Asia decreased 4 cents to a weekly average of $11.05/MMBtu.
Natural gas futures for delivery at the Title Transfer Facility (TTF) in the Netherlands decreased 24 cents to a weekly average of $10.86/MMBtu.
In the same week last year (week ending October 16, 2024), the prices were $13.17/MMBtu in East Asia and $12.79/MMBtu at TTF, EIA said.
