Woodside announced the milestone shipment in a social media post on Monday.
According to the firm, the 2015-built 155,000-cbm Gaslog Salem loaded the 1,000th Pluto LNG shipment last week.
Woodside said the cargo is destined for delivery to its foundation partner, Japan’s Kansai Electric.
In addition to the cargo milestone, Woodside is also celebrating 20 years since Pluto was first discovered.
The company added that it looks forward to the future with the Scarborough energy project, aiming for start-up in 2026.
Woodside’s Pluto LNG terminal currently has one train with a capacity of 4.9 mtpa.
The liquefaction train gets gas from the offshore Pluto and Xena gas fields via a 180 km trunkline.
Pluto LNG is underpinned by long-term sales agreements with Kansai Electric and EIG’s MidOcean Energy, each holding a 5 percent interest in the project.
In November 2021, Woodside took a final investment decision on the Scarborough and Pluto LNG Train 2 developments.
The project also includes new domestic gas facilities and modifications to the first train.
Bechtel started building the second Pluto train in 2022.
Last month, Woodside said the project was more than 80 percent complete and “on track” for first LNG cargo in the second half of 2026.
