The delivery windows are July 23-24, July 26-27, and July 31-August 1, according to a tender document.
RPGCL issued the tender to the 24 organizations that have signed the MSPA (master sale and purchase agreement) with Petrobangla for LNG supply on a spot basis.
The tender was issued on Monday and it closes on Wednesday.
RPGCL’s data show that it issued tenders for 36 spot LNG cargoes this year.
Most recently, the company sought bids on June 21 for two LNG cargoes, with delivery dates July 14-15 and July 20-21.
Qatar, which declared force majeure to its LNG buyers on March 4, is the main LNG supplier to Bangladesh via long-term LNG deals.
Local media reports in Bangladesh suggest that QatarEnergy has notified RPGCL that it may deliver only half of the contracted LNG cargoes, or 20 of 40 cargoes, this year.
According to the reports, QatarEnergy did not specify when the contracted deliveries may resume.
Bangladesh currently imports LNG via two FSRU-based facilities, both of which feature Excelerate Energy’s FSRUs.
The 138,000-cbm FSRU Excellence serves Bangladesh’s first LNG import facility, Moheshkhali Floating LNG or MLNG, operated by Petrobangla.
Excelerate’s 138,000-cbm FSRU Summit LNG serves as the second LNG import facility operated by Summit.
