Greece’s Latsco Shipping, a unit of Latsis Group, has taken delivery of its second LNG newbuild from South Korea’s Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries.
The 174,000-cbm LNG carrier Hellas Athina has left Hyundai Samho’s yard in Mokpo, according to its AIS data on Thursday.
LNG prime reported on this vessel in July as it was undergoing trials.
To remind, Latsco Shipping has earlier this year welcomed Hellas Diana, the first LNG carrier for the firm that operates a fleet of 29 vessels.
Commodity trader Trafigura has chartered both of the LNG carriers.
The new vessels are 297 meters long and about 46 meters wide. Both of the newbuilds feature WinGD’s dual-fuel X-DF engines and GTT’s Mark III Flex containment system.
In addition, Finland’s Wartsila has earlier this year signed a five-year maintenance agreement for the two LNG carriers with Latsco LNG Marine Management, a unit of Latsco Shipping.
