Fratelli Cosulich takes delivery of second LNG bunkering ship in China

China’s Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering (CIMC SOE) has handed over the second LNG bunkering vessel to Italian shipping group Fratelli Cosulich.

According to a social media post by Fratelli Cosulich, the 5,300-dwt dual-fueled LNG bunkering vessel, Paolina Cosulich, set sail from the CIMC SOE yard on February 27.

The 113 metes long LNG bunkering vessel will serve a two-year charter deal with PETCO Trading Labuan (PTLCL), a trading arm of Malaysia’s Petronas.

CIMC SOE launched this LNG bunkering vessel in June last year.

The bunkering vessel features two type C bi-lobe LNG tanks with a cargo capacity of 8,200 cubic meters of LNG.

It is fitted with Wartsila’s dual-fuel technology.

In addition to LNG, Paolina Cosulich can provide 500 metric tons of Marine Gas Oil (MGO), providing flexibility to accommodate various fuel requirements.

In October 2023, Fratelli Cosulich took delivery of Alice Cosulich.

This newbuild serves a charter deal Fratelli Cosulich signed with Dutch LNG supplier Titan.
