India’s Adani inks LNG import deal with Total

India’s Adani Total Gas has reportedly signed a three-year deal to buy LNG from its partner Total.

France’s Total will deliver the fuel from its global portfolio to Adani Total Private for onward sale to households and small industries, Reuters reported CEO Suresh Manglani as saying on Wednesday.

Manglani did not reveal further information only saying the company wants a diversified portfolio for gas sourcing linked to various benchmarks, according to the report.

LNG Prime contacted Total for a comment but we did not receive a reply by the time this article was published.

Total purchased a 37.4% stake in Adani Gas in 2019 creating one of India’s largest downstream energy partnerships. The cooperation includes LNG and fuel retail business.
