Berlin-based Liquind has opened three new LNG filling stations for trucks during March as the firm continues to expand its network in Germany.
The new locations include a mobile station in Karlsruhe, the firm’s first LNG filling station in Lower Saxony in Göttingen, as well as the most recent addition in Mannheim’s Rheinauhafen.
According to its website, Liquind is currently developing twenty-three LNG truck filling stations in Germany as fleet owners increasingly opt for the fuel to cut costs and slash emissions.
The firm already launched twelve LNG filling stations and plans to open the other facilities during this year, the data shows.
A recent report said that Shell and Liquind are currently the largest LNG filling station owners in Germany.
In addition, Liquind is developing its LNG marine bunkering business via the company’s unit Liquind Marine which already completed its first operations.
Liquind says that the new station for trucks in Manheim would also soon get a bunkering facility for inland vessels.
