Engie, a subsidiary of Engie’s NaTran, announced in a statement last month that its board appointed Brissiaud as CEO.
Brissiaud began her career at SUEZ in 2005, holding operational and functional management positions.
In 2016, she joined Engie Ineo as director of the Ile-de-France region, where she managed several large-scale construction and infrastructure projects before actively contributing to the creation of Engie Solutions.
Since 2021, she has been managing director of Compagnie Parisienne de Chauffage Urbain (CPCU) and has overseen Fraîcheur de Paris — the two largest district heating and cooling networks in Europe.
“I am very excited to be joining a strategic infrastructure for the French and European energy system, as well as a thrilling human and industrial adventure,” Brissiaud said.
“Indeed, after pioneering LNG in France, Elengy is now transforming its terminals into decarbonisation hubs. The challenges ahead are particularly significant and offer great opportunities: they will mobilise all our energy and collective ambition,” she said.
Elengy operates the Fos Cavaou facility and the Fos Tonkin facility on the Mediterranean coast. It also operates the Montoir-de-Bretagne facility on the Atlantic coast.
These terminals have a combined regasification capacity of some 21.5 bcm per year.
In addition to these three facilities, France also has the Dunkirk onshore LNG terminal.
