HD KSOE said in a statement on Monday that it recently held a ceremony in Jinhae to conduct final performance verification, where Bureau Veritas certified the pump’s performance and safety.
The high-pressure pump was developed by HD KSOE in collaboration with domestic firms such as Pretech and Seongmun, handling manufacturing and packaging.
“Until now, foreign companies have dominated the high-pressure pump market, forcing the domestic shipbuilding industry to rely on imports, which led to limitations such as maintenance challenges and supply chain uncertainties,” HD KSOE said.
According to KSOE, the new pump has secured supply contracts for approximately 70 vessels with domestic and international shipyards to date.
KSOE did not provide further details regarding the contracts.
