Liquind is moving forward with plans to build a nationwide network of LNG filling stations for trucks in Germany and has launched a new fueling facility.
The Berlin-based firm backed by Switzerland-based Energy 360 ° said it has recently opened a new LNG filling station in Hamburg-West.
Also, the firm has already teamed up with transport and logistics companies from the Hamburg area to provide them with LNG fuel at the new station.
Moreover, the Hamburg station is one of the several LNG facilities Liquind is planning to build in northern Germany. Next station will go online in Dummerstorf, according to Liquind.
The firm is currently developing twenty-three LNG truck filling stations in Germany.
Besides truck filling stations, Liquind plans to launch two LNG bunkering stations for inland vessels to cater to an increasing demand for cleaner fuels in Germany.
The stations in Mannheim and Duisburg should start serving vessels working on the Rhine in the summer.
