Worley clinches Corpus Christi LNG contract

Cheniere’s unit Corpus Christi has awarded Australia’s Worley a master construction services agreement for the LNG export facility in Texas.

The Corpus Christi plant consists of two operational trains and one currently in commissioning mode.

Once completed in 2021, the US facility will have a total production capacity of about 15 mtpa.

Under the deal, Worley will provide civil, structural, mechanical, instrument and electrical, HVAC and marine construction service at the facility.

The contract follows the Australian company’s development of project delivery and operation standards for the Corpus Christi site.

As part of the new deal, Worley said it would provide a nested, on-site time to execute small capital construction projects for the facility.

The engineering firm did not reveal any financial details of the contract.
