US LNG exports climb, Henry Hub up

The US exported fourteen LNG cargoes in the week ending October 21 while feed gas deliveries to liquefaction plants increased to 7.9 billion cubic feet.

Compared to the last week, natural gas deliveries to US LNG export plants rose some 1.2 Bcf/d while shipments were higher for two cargoes, EIA said in its weekly natural gas report.

Five US terminals dispatched the fourteen cargoes during the week October 15-21. The total capacity of LNG vessels carrying these cargoes is 51 Bcf, EIA said citing Marine Traffic shipping data.

This compares to twelve LNG cargoes with the vessels’ capacity of 54 Bcf in the week before.

Cheniere’s Sabine Pass plant sent five cargoes in the week under review while its Corpus Christi plant dispatched three.

Additionally, the Freeport terminal shipped four cargoes while Cove Point and Cameron each dispatched one cargo of the fuel.

Compared to the previous week, the Henry Hub spot price increased from $2.03 per million British thermal units last Wednesday to $2.86/MMBtu on October 21, EIA said.
