Shell names new Canada head

Energy giant Shell has named the new head of its Canadian unit after the current president and county chair Michael Crothers decide to retire.

Crothers decide to retire from Shell in 2021, following a 33-year career with the firm.

Susannah Pierce, currently director of corporate affairs, LNG Canada, and a Shell secondee will take over from Crothers.

Both will remain in their current roles until the transition takes place, Shell Canada said on Wednesday.

“I’m looking forward to taking on this new challenge with Shell Canada, and am confident that together, we will build on Michael’s positive legacy as we move towards a more sustainable energy future,” Pierce said.
