1) Greek shipping giant Angelicoussis has secured long-term charters for almost all of the newbuild LNG carriers it has ordered in South Korea while the group also evaluates further opportunities to expand its large LNG fleet, according to CEO, Maria Angelicoussis, and deputy CEO, Sveinung Stohle.

2) German utility Uniper has to pay 550 million euros ($602 million) to a European energy firm following a ruling by an arbitration court over a long-term liquefied natural gas (LNG) contract concluded prior to the company’s spin-off in 2016.

3) Delfin Midstream, the US developer of a floating LNG export project in the Gulf of Mexico, has signed a long-term liquefied natural gas supply deal with a unit of Geneva-based energy and LNG trader, Gunvor.

4) The 153,600-cbm, Alexandroupolis, which will serve Gastrade’s FSRU-based LNG import terminal in Alexandroupolis, has left Singapore and is on its way to Greece, according to shipping data.

5) US LNG exporting giant Cheniere has signed a long-term deal with Austrian energy firm OMV to supply the latter with liquefied natural gas. OMV will receive the volumes via the Gate LNG import terminal in the Dutch port of Rotterdam where it holds capacity.
