US contractor Matrix Service has secured a job for upgrade works on an existing LNG peak shaving facility in the US.
The company’s unit Matrix NAC won the engineering, procurement, and construction contract to upgrade the facility for a “large public utility located in the MidAtlantic region of the US”.
According to a Matrix statement, the works include a new gas liquefaction system and vaporization system.
The Tulsa-based firm said the contract would be taken into backlog in the second quarter of FY 2023.
Matrix did not reveal any additional information regarding the contract.
“With more than 60 years of experience in the engineering and construction of cryogenic infrastructure, and our leading reputation in LNG peak shaving facilities, this project highlights our capabilities in providing services that improve and extend the life of critical assets such as this,” John R. Hewitt, Matrix president and CEO said in the statement.
“We appreciate the trust and confidence this long-standing client has placed in Matrix,” he said.
