1) South Korean shipbuilding giant Samsung Heavy Industries has secured a contract worth approximately $503 million to build two liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers.
2) Russian Zvezda yard has delivered what it says is the first Russian-built ice-class liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier. The 172,600-cbm Aleksey Kosygin is the first ice-class Arc7 carrier in a series of vessels that will serve the Novatek-operated Arctic LNG 2 project.
