1) New Zealand’s plans to begin importing liquefied natural gas (LNG) in the winter of 2027 include installing a floating storage and regasification unit or a floating storage unit with onshore regasification facilities.

2) US engineering and construction firm Bechtel Corporation has released a report regarding an incident that took place at the Port Arthur LNG construction site in Texas earlier this year. Bechtel has identified seven factors that together contributed to the incident which resulted in three fatalities and two injuries.

3) European small-scale LNG player Molgas, backed by French infrastructure fund investor InfraVia, has finalized the full acquisition of Dutch LNG supplier Titan.

4) Golden Pass LNG, a joint venture owned by energy giants QatarEnergy and ExxonMobil, is seeking approval from the US FERC to place into service its MP 69 compressor station, as it continues to move forward with commissioning activities at its three-train LNG plant in Texas.

5) Houston-based Big River Energy and Gato Negro LNG plan to take a final investment decision on the Gato Negro Manzanillo LNG plant in Mexico in late 2026, according to a filing with the US DOE.
