China’s COSCO Shipping Energy Transportation, a unit of COSCO, said that the world’s first LNG-powered very large crude carrier, Yuan Rui Yang, has delivered its first shipment to Vietnam.
COSCO Shipping said the LNG dual-fuel vessel had completed the shipment on May 18.
According to its AIS data provided by VesselsValue, the VLCC delivered the cargo from Kuwait’s Mina al-Ahmadi to Vietnam’s Nghi Son.

According to DSIC, the LNG storage tanks enable the vessel to sail in the gas mode about 12,000 nautical miles.
