According to a statement by AVG, the partnership is aimed at accelerating the adoption of LNG-powered transportation solutions across key industrial sectors, including steel and metals, FMCG, cement, and other high-volume logistics segments.
Through this collaboration, AVG will leverage its extensive logistics network and customer relationships, while Baidyanath LNG will provide access to LNG fleets, fueling infrastructure, and technical expertise, AVG said.
Under the MoU, Baidyanath LNG will support AVG with dedicated LNG-powered fleets and access to its LNG filling stations, while also collaborating on customized LNG solutions for the transportation sector.
AVG, in turn, will promote the use of LNG as a cleaner alternative fuel by introducing LNG-powered logistics solutions to its existing and prospective customers across multiple industries, the company said.
According to its website, India’s GreenLine signed an LNG supply deal with Baidyanath LNG in 2023.
Earlier this year, Essar Group’s GreenLine said it would invest $275 million in LNG-powered and electric trucks to boost the decarbonization of the heavy-duty sector in India.
According to the firm, the funding will enable the deployment of over 10,000 LNG and EV trucks, along with the establishment of a nationwide network of 100 LNG refuelling stations, EV charging stations, and battery swapping facilities.

In 2023, Blue Energy launched India’s 100th LNG-powered truck at its manufacturing facility in Pune.
In September, Blue Energy secured fresh funding and will invest further in the production of LNG-powered trucks to boost the decarbonization of the heavy-duty sector in India.
