GTT nets new order from Hyundai Samho

French LNG containment giant GTT has won a new order from South Korea’s Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries to design tanks for two LNG carriers.

GTT said in a statement it had received the order at the beginning of this year.

The 174,000-cbm LNG carriers will feature GTT’s Mark III Flex membrane containment system.

GTT added that HSHI plans to deliver the vessels to a European shipowner between the third and the fourth quarters of 2026, but it did not provide any additional information.

This contract is probably related to a recent contract HSHI’s parent KSOE announced for two LNG carriers worth about $506 million.

KSOE said that HSHI would deliver these vessels to an undisclosed shipper in Oceania by November 2026.

Greece’s Capital Gas, led by Evangelos Marinakis, is behind this order.
