1) New Zealand’s plans to begin importing liquefied natural gas (LNG) in the winter of 2027 include installing a floating storage and regasification unit or a floating storage unit with onshore regasification facilities.

2) US engineering and construction firm Bechtel Corporation has released a report regarding an incident that took place at the Port Arthur LNG construction site in Texas earlier this year. Bechtel has identified seven factors that together contributed to the incident which resulted in three fatalities and two injuries.
