1) In May 2024, US construction company Zachry filed for bankruptcy, initiating a structured exit from the Golden Pass LNG export project in Texas due to “financial challenges” related to the construction of the facility owned by QatarEnergy and ExxonMobil.

2) In June 2024, the US FERC gave the green light to Venture Global LNG for its proposed CP2 LNG project in Louisiana.

3) US LNG exporter Sempra and compatriot Bechtel are making progress with construction work on the first phase of the Port Arthur LNG export project in Texas.

4) US LNG firm Tellurian said in March 2024 that it expects to take a final investment decision in 2024 to build the first two plants at its Driftwood LNG export plant in Louisiana. Tellurian is now owned by Woodside, and the latter is working to take FID on the first phase of the plant in 2025.
