PitPoint.LNG opens new German fueling station

PitPoint.LNG and TotalEnergies have launched a new liquefied natural gas fueling station for trucks in Germany.

The Netherlands-based PitPoint.LNG is a joint venture between TotalEnergies Gas Mobility and SHV Energy’s Primagaz.

According to a statement by PitPoint.LNG, the firm opened the new station in Heidergrund at TotalEnergies’ truck station in Osterfeld, further expanding its multi-fuel offering.

The station is located on the North-South (Scandinavian – Mediterranean) corridor between Leipzig and Nuremberg, it said.

In November last year, TotalEnergies Mobility Solutions opened a new facility in partnership with PitPoint.LNG in Lippetal, Germany.

After that, PitPoint.LNG opened a new station with two LNG dispensers at TotalEnergies’ station in Alsfeld.

Last year, Dutch small-scale tech firm Liqal, part of Dover, joined forces with PitPoint.LNG to realize three LNG fueling stations for trucks in Germany to cater to the increasing demand for the fuel in the country’s transport sector.

According to its website, PitPoint.LNG currently operates 12 heavy-duty LNG stations in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany, and one bunkering station for inland waterway vessels in Cologne, Germany.

PitPoint.LNG said it will continue to expand its network.
