C-LNG Solutions teams up with American Ship Repair to work on US projects

Singapore-based C-LNG Solutions has selected American Ship Repair as a partner to work on retrofit and newbuild projects in the US.

According to a statement, New York-based ASR would serve as C-LNG’s official representative in the US.

C-LNG Solutions provides LNG fuel gas systems, cargo handling systems, regasification solutions, and other services.

Earlier this year, the company won a contract from US firm Matson Navigation to provide its LNG fuel gas supply system for one containership.

This new alliance continues ASR’s longstanding tradition of engaging “innovative solution providers to meet the challenges faced by modern ship owners,” the firm said in the statement.

C-LNG’s president Sunny Xu said in the statement the partnership with ASR is, “the perfect combination of cutting-edge engineering solutions, project management, and comprehensive customer support.”

According to the statement, the partnership has already received commitments from US-based customers and is “actively in discussions” for both retrofit and newbuild projects.

“The industry has fully embraced moving towards a decarbonized future,” ASR president Peter Gianopulos said.

“Effective, cost-efficient solutions, such as those from C-LNG, make sense not only for newbuilds, but for retrofits as well,” he said.
